The Chairman and CEO of NAHCON, Alh Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, expressed gratitude for the Authority’s support during the previous Hajj and reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to ensuring a successful 2023 Hajj through the early signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.

In his words: “Let me put on record my profound gratitude to the Authority for its understanding and support during last year’s Hajj and to assure you that with the signing of Memorandum of Understanding MOU very early, we will do everything to make sure that the 2023 Hajj will record a resounding success.

“We are ready to organise excellent and successful Hajj.

“We are indeed committed to achieve that. Now that we have ample time and opportunities to plan and diligently screen the airlines, there won’t be room for complaint and excuses,” he added.

In his remarks, the General Manager of Hajj Operations for GACA, Engineer Nazim Pazhair, praised NAHCON for its dedication to improving the welfare and services for Nigerian pilgrims.

He stated that the allocation of 95,000 slots for Nigeria has been restored and encouraged the Commission to quickly complete its screening procedures so that preparations for airline schedules can begin.

Engineer Nazim emphasized the importance of collaboration between the two organizations in order to ensure a successful Hajj, noting the obligation to provide ease and comfort for all pilgrims.

He was joined by representatives of the Nigeria Consul-General to Saudi Arabia, Commissioners of NAHCON and other staff during the visit of the Chairman.
