Ilorin Court Arraigns Abdulrahman, 4 Others for Alleged Murder of Lawal Hafsoh Yetunde

A 29-year-old self-acclaimed cleric, Abdulrahman Mohd Ballo, has been arraigned before a magistrate court in Ilorin, Kwara State, for allegedly killing a final-year student of Kwara State College of Education, Lawal Hafsoh Lawal.
Abdulrahman was charged alongside four accomplices – Ahmed Abulwasiu, 41, an Islamic scholar; Sulaiman Muhydeen, 28, a Neo Life business person; Jamiu Uthman, 29, a phone repairer; and AbdulRahman Jamiu, 31, a farmer.

The police, in their First Information Report (FIR), alleged that Abdulrahman and the four others belong to the same occult group and confessed to robbing and killing the victim for ritual purposes.
The charges against the defendants include criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide, armed robbery, and being in possession of human parts.
The case has sparked widespread outrage and concern among the community, with many calling for justice to be served.
The magistrate court has adjourned the case to March 6th to allow for further investigation and trial.
