KWSG Seeks Public Input for New University of Education

The Kwara State Government, KWSG has urged stakeholders in the education sector to submit memoranda as part of the process for establishing the Kwara State University of Education.

Recall that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq inaugurated the Prof. Shuaibu Oba Abdulraheem-led committee on November 17, 2023, to oversee the institution’s establishment.

In a statement issued in Ilorin, the committee invited the general public, educational institutions, and interested groups to contribute insights and recommendations through the submission of memoranda. The initiative aims to enhance education quality and foster human resource development in the state.

“Memoranda should address key aspects, including the preferred strategic location within the state, proposed academic programs and faculties, infrastructure and facility requirements, collaboration opportunities with existing institutions, and strategies for community engagement and development,” the statement reads in part.

The committee emphasized that all memoranda should be submitted in writing to either the Council Chamber, KWASU Business School along Ajasse-Ipo Road, Ilorin, or Room 33, Ministry of Tertiary Education, State Secretariat, Ilorin.

Electronic submissions can be sent to pic4kwsued@gmail.com, with the deadline set for December 15, 2023.

Encouraging active participation, the committee seeks engagement from all stakeholders to ensure the university is established to best serve the educational needs of the communities.
