Ministry of Defence Gets New Permanent Secretary

Ambassador Gabriel Tanimu Aduda has assumed office as the new Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, pledging to improve upon the achievements of his predecessor, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana.

 

 

During the handover ceremony at Ship House, Abuja, Aduda expressed his commitment to taking the ministry to the next level, building on the foundation laid by Dr. Kana.

 

 

Aduda, who hails from a military background family, stated that his new role feels like a homecoming.

He acknowledged the excellent work done by Dr. Kana and promised to add value to the system.

 

 

The new Permanent Secretary emphasized the importance of honesty, commitment, courage, and excellence among the ministry’s staff, stressing that these values are crucial to achieving success.

 

 

Aduda also solicited the cooperation of the staff, assuring them that he prioritizes their welfare.

 

 

With his wealth of experience in the civil service, including stints at the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources and the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aduda is well-equipped to lead the Ministry of Defence towards achieving its goals.
