To bridge Nigeria’s digital divide and foster an inclusive digital economy, the Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa, has called on National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members to intensify their efforts in promoting digital literacy across the country.

The NYSC members, who are serving as champions of the Digital Literacy for All (DL4ALL) Initiative, have been tasked with training and sensitizing Nigerians on the transformative potential of digital literacy.

This initiative is one of the flagship programs under NITDA’s Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP 2.0), focusing on grassroots engagement and providing underserved communities with essential digital knowledge.

He noted that the goal is to inspire confidence, build capacity, and pave the way for a digitally inclusive society.

Inuwa emphasized the far-reaching impact of the initiative, stating that it is not just an investment in individuals, but also an investment in the collective future of Nigeria.

He added that a digitally skilled workforce will not only transform the economy but also position Nigeria as a leader in the global knowledge economy.

Through the efforts of the champions, NITDA aims to empower millions of Nigerians to unlock their potential, embrace innovation, and contribute meaningfully to national development.

The Director General affirmed NITDA’s commitment to leading Nigeria’s digital transformation and fostering a future where no citizen is left behind.

The Digital Literacy for All initiative is a collaborative effort between NITDA, the Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, the NYSC, and other strategic partners.

The initiative has received enthusiastic support from the champions, who are eager to make a positive impact in their communities.
