The Dr. Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe (DIYO) Foundation has awarded a comprehensive academic support package to Garba Mubarak Bukola, a brilliant student from Elekoyangan Compound in Ogidi Ward, Ilorin West Local Government Area.

Mubarak, a student of the University of Ilorin Senior Secondary School, distinguished himself by scoring 362 in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), ranking him among the top-performing candidates nationwide.

Recognizing his outstanding feat, the DIYO Foundation, under the leadership of its founder, Dr. Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe, has rolled out a tailored support package to facilitate Mubarak’s transition to university life and long-term academic success.

The support package includes a financial grant of N500,000, paid into a dedicated education account to fund Mubarak’s university education, with a brand-new HP laptop to enhance his IT skills and support his academic research and coursework.

To address areas of improvement, Mubarak has been enrolled in free remedial coaching in English Language, where he scored 68, as he will also participate in post-UTME preparatory classes to ensure a seamless transition to higher education.

The foundation has also attached Mubarak to a professional counselor for guidance in selecting a suitable engineering discipline.

He will receive continuous mentorship from Dr. Aishat Tayo Abubakar of the Department of Architecture, University of Ilorin, to broaden his career perspectives.

Mubarak’s aspiration to study Mechanical Engineering will be nurtured through this mentorship program.

During the presentation of the support package, Mubarak’s mother, Madam Taibat Garba, and his uncle, Mustapha Garba, expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Oloriegbe for his generosity and commitment to youth empowerment.
