Everything is in place in Kano for the wedding of Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi (Telu 1), the Oluwo of Iwo land, and Kano Princess, Firdaus Abdullahi.
The 27-year-old is Aminu Ado Bayero, the Emir of Kano’s niece.

The wedding will take place on March 19, 2022, at the Madakin Kano’s palace in Kano.
Shortly after the wedding, Firdaus, a granddaughter of the late Emir Ado Bayero, will host a gala event only for women at Gidan Rumfa, the Kano Emir’s palace.
Oluwo is remarrying just three years after his first marriage to a Jamaican woman ended in divorce.
At the age of 48, he became the Oluwo of Iwo in November 2015.
A letter had trended on social media about a month ago where the Oluwo was allegedly soliciting financial support for the wedding from the governor of Osun State.
However, the palace, on 11th February, quickly released a statement to refute the claim, saying the letter was fake and not from the Oluwo.
