Oro Grammar Alumni Gets New Excos as Dr Ajayi Elected President

High Chief Michael Kayode Ajayi, PhD, has been elected as the President of the Oro Grammar School Old Students Association.
The election took place at the weekend during the association’s Annual General Meeting held at the school hall.
Dr. Ajayi, who served as the First Vice President for six years, is a distinguished alumnus, having graduated in 1976.

He is a professional per excellence having served as General Manager, Operations at the Nigerian Ports Authority, and he is currently the MD/CEO of Penthouse Consult Nigeria Limited, a management consultancy firm in Abuja.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Ajayi expressed gratitude to the immediate past president, Alhaji AbdulRauf Olaiya Lawal, for his exemplary leadership over the past three years.
He also thanked the association members for their trust and pledged to uphold their confidence.
Other key positions were filled during the meeting, with Alhaji Aliyu Olatunji Ajanaku elected as General Secretary and Ayo Samuel as Treasurer.
The event featured goodwill messages from prominent figures including Prince Anthony Titiloye, Chairman of the Board of Proprietors; Prince Adeyemi Olukayode, PTA Chairman; and Mr. Michael Aremu, the school principal and an old student himself.
Former President, Elder Folorunsho Alao who is a retired Permanent secretary, emphasized the need for greater participation from alumni, particularly those who graduated after 1991, stressing that commitment and interest are crucial for active involvement.
In his farewell address, the outgoing president reiterated the importance of annual dues for the association’s operations and expressed appreciation for the support received during his tenure, particularly in the acquisition of a new school bus.
