Fear Grips Residents as Police Uncover Kidnappers’ Den in Abuja, Rescue 11 Victims

Residents of Abuja’s Kuje Area have been rocked by a new wave of fear and tension following the discovery of a kidnappers’ den in a nearby forest.
According to the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, it was discovered when people of the community reported that some people had been taken into the forest.
A statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Josephine Adeh said operatives of the command rescued at least eleven (11) abductees kidnapped in Gwargwada community, Kuje area of the territory on February 17, 2022.

The operation, which took place on Saturday, came after the command responded quickly to a report that certain members of the community had been whisked into the forest by unscrupulous and misguided criminal elements.
CP Babaji Sunday, the Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Command, has asked the operatives to continue searching the forest for criminal elements and other victims, she said.
According to her, the rescued victims are currently undergoing medical assessments and will be reunited with their families as soon as they have been found to be medically stable.
