Drama as Protesters Invade Kano Court, Cart Away Ganduje’s Corruption Trial Documents

The Kano State government has revealed that hoodlums who invaded the State High Court during the recent #EndBadGovernance protest made away with documents used in the corruption trial of former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

INCNews247 gathered that, the court, which is trying Ganduje, his wife, and others for misappropriation and diversion of funds, was vandalized and looted by the hoodlums.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who visited the court to assess the damages, described the incident as a “staged-managed mission” aimed at averting corruption charges against Ganduje.

The hoodlums destroyed virtually all units of the High Court, including the office of the state Chief Judge, with losses estimated at over N1 billion.

Governor Yusuf called on youths in the state to desist from being used by detractors to engage in violence and instead focus on skill acquisition for a better future.

He commiserated with the Chief Judge and the entire Judiciary family over the incident and urged them to continue with court proceedings for the benefit of the common man.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety of court documents and the integrity of the judicial process in Kano State.
