Rains of Bullets as Troops Eliminate Auta, Several Others in Zamfara

The Nigerian Armed Forces have recorded a major victory in the fight against terrorism with the elimination of notorious bandit leader Auta and several of his associates in Zamfara State.
The operation, carried out by troops of Operation Fasan Yamma on June 10 around Ƙunchin Kalgo town in Tsafe Local Government Area, also resulted in the deaths of Abdul Jamilu and Salisu, close allies of the slain kingpin.

According to Major General Markus Kangye, Director of Defence Media Operations, preliminary intelligence suggests that two additional terrorist leaders, including Babayé, were killed in the same operation.
In a separate encounter, troops also eliminated Sale Ado Madele, alias Sarki, the eldest son of notorious bandit leader Ado Alieru.
In a related development, soldiers neutralized 10 additional terrorists who had assembled near a filling station in Danjibga, believed to be part of a syndicate organized by Dogo Sule for a planned attack.
INCNews247 reports that this brings to over 20 the number of terrorists eliminated in recent operations in Zamfara State.
