Ramadan: Ishowo Urges Muslims to Get ready for Laylatul-Qadr

By Alabidun Shuaib AbdulRahman

Kwara-based public affairs analyst, Comrade Olanrewaju Ishowo, has called upon Muslims Ummah across the globe to prepare for the imminent sacred night in the month of Ramadan, Laylatul-Qadr.

In his statement released on Saturday in Ilorin, Ishowo emphasized the significance of this sacred night, urging Muslim Faithfuls to elevate their acts of charity, seek forgiveness, and engage in virtuous deeds to attain immense rewards from Almighty Allah.

Highlighting the profound spiritual value of Laylatul-Qadr, Ishowo referenced Qur’an 97 verse 3 that emphasizes its unparalleled importance, noting that the night of power holds greater significance than 1,000 months.

“I urge my fellow Muslims to prepare their hearts and minds for Laylatul-Qadr, a night when the gates of heaven open wide, and divine blessings and forgiveness pour abundantly upon those who earnestly seek them,” remarked Ishowo, accentuating the transformative potential of this sacred night.

He added that in this last ten days, Muslims should be fervent in seeking forgiveness by invoking “O Allaah! Verily You are most forgiving. You love to forgive, therefore forgive me,” as enjoined by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Ishowo further expressed admiration for the compassion and generosity displayed by individuals and philanthropists who extend support to the less privileged during Ramadan, praising their altruism as a manifestation of Islamic values and an inspiration for others to emulate.

“Let us emulate the example set by the noble companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who, during Ramadan, were better known for their selflessness and dedication to serving others,” urged Ishowo.

“I pray that Allah grants us the strength and sincerity to make the most of Laylatul-Qadr, to seek His mercy and forgiveness, and to emerge from this blessed month renewed in faith and devotion”.
