The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced significant updates to its Golden Visa program for 2025, aiming to attract international investors, entrepreneurs, skilled professionals, and exceptional students.
The revamped program provides successful applicants with the opportunity to secure long-term residency in the UAE, allowing them to live, work, and study without the need for a sponsor.
The UAE Golden Visa, valid for five to ten years, ensures stability for individuals and their families, enabling them to plan their future in the UAE.

The program now caters to a broader audience, including professionals in business, technology, and education.
Key updates to the Golden Visa program include:
Off-plan property investments now qualify for the Golden Visa, with a minimum down payment of 50% or a bank guarantee for the remaining amount.
Entrepreneurs with innovative projects or those endorsed by approved incubators can qualify with a reduced minimum project value of AED 500,000.
Specialists, including PhD holders, doctors, engineers, and creatives, are eligible for a simplified application process if they hold a valid work contract in the UAE.
Outstanding students with a GPA of 3.8 or higher can now apply for the visa, and they can sponsor family members, including parents and siblings.
Real estate investments must be fully paid without the use of loans to meet the eligibility criteria.
Applicants must fulfill specific requirements based on their category, including minimum investments, project values, and academic achievements.
The Golden Visa application process has been streamlined to enhance user experience, with applicants able to submit their nomination, upload documents, pay fees, and receive approval online.
Upon approval, applicants are invited to complete the residency procedures, including biometric registration and medical exams.
