BREAKING: Tinubu Announces New NAHCON Chairman

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman as the Executive Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
According to a statement by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), Professor Usman is a renowned scholar with qualifications from the University of Madinah and Peshawar University, Pakistan.
The new NAHCON boss is also well-grounded in Hajj operations, having served as the Chairman of Kano State Pilgrims Board, where he successfully superintended the operations of the largest quota of state pilgrims in the country.

The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Senate.
President Tinubu expects Professor Usman to discharge his duties with integrity, transparency, and utmost fidelity to the nation.
The appointment is seen as a move to strengthen the management of Hajj operations in Nigeria and ensure a hitch-free pilgrimage for Nigerian Muslims.
Professor Usman’s wealth of experience and expertise in Hajj operations is expected to bring a new dimension to the management of NAHCON.
