The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced that Nigeria’s advance medical team will depart for Saudi Arabia on April 30th, 2025, in preparation for the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage.

This was stated by the Chairman of NAHCON, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman Pakistan, in an interview with Freedom Radio Kaduna.

According to Professor Pakistan, the medical team will arrive in Saudi Arabia ahead of the Nigerian pilgrims to ensure that all necessary medical arrangements are in place.

“The advance medical team is expected to be on ground at least nine days before the arrival of the first batch of Nigerian pilgrims to ensure that we are adequately prepared to attend to any health challenge that may arise during the pilgrimage,” he said.

INCNews247 reports that the medical team would be responsible for stocking Nigeria’s clinics in Makkah and Madinah with essential drugs and medical requirements.

He assured that NAHCON would prioritize the wellbeing and comfort of Nigerian pilgrims, advising those with health challenges to disclose them for proper documentation and medical attention.
