The maintenance exercise is scheduled to commence at 8am and end at 1pm, according to a statement signed by the management of TCN on Wednesday.

TCN said the exercise would affect the ability of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC to off-take electricity for customers in several communities supplied from the substation.

The affected areas include Bida Town, Army Barracks, Agaie, Doko, Baro, Zago, Emi Rani, Bussu, Laugba Goshigi, Lafiyagi Essa, Amgulu, Mansantali, Agaie Town, Low Cost and Masaga, as well as surrounding villages.

The company said electricity supply would be restored to the affected areas immediately after the completion of the maintenance exercise.

TCN apologised to electricity consumers in the affected communities for the inconvenience caused by the planned outage, noting that the maintenance was necessary to ensure the reliability of the transmission infrastructure.

The company urged affected customers to make necessary arrangements for the duration of the exercise.
