The inaugural participants were selected based on their outstanding compliance within the supply chain, following a rigorous three-month validation process.
The program is being implemented under the guidance of the World Customs Organisation (WCO) and with support from key partners such as the World Bank and other Customs administrations globally.
Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, emphasized the need for robust support from all stakeholders to promote the success of the pilot test.
The NCS remains committed to promoting transparency, efficiency, and ease of doing business, with the successful implementation of the AEO program representing a key milestone in its pursuit of aligning with best practices.
