National President of the IEDPU, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, announced the development at the weekend during a special interview programme on an Ilorin-based radio station.
Represented by the Union’s National Secretary, Abubakar Imam, the President urged leaders across political, religious, and professional lines to embrace reconciliation and serve as examples to their followers.
Abdulmalik stressed that this is “in addition to several peace interventions in collaboration with traditional and religious leaders.”
The IEDPU President therefore praised the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, for his consistent role in preaching harmony and mediating disputes among indigenes and residents of the Emirate and Kwara State at large.
