IEYDA Reschedules Empowerment Programme to Honour Late Prince AbdulKadir Mahe
The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) has announced a change in date for its 11th Annual Empowerment Programme, previously scheduled for Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
The new date is now Sunday, January 5, 2025, by 10:00 am at the Emir’s Palace in Ilorin.
This decision was made during IEYDA’s NEC Meeting, presided over by the National President, Alhaji Mohammed Uthman Jagunmo, on December 29, 2024, as a mark of respect for the late Prince Abdulkadir Mahe. Prince Mahe, who served as the Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

The Fidau prayer for the late Prince Abdulkadir Mahe has been scheduled for January 2, 2025, at the Emir’s Palace in Ilorin.
IEYDA wishes to allow sufficient time for mourning and respect for the illustrious Prince of the Emirate.
IEYDA’s decision reflects its commitment to honoring the royal house and standing in solidarity with His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, CFR, and the people of the Ilorin Emirate during this difficult time.
The association also expressed its solidarity with the government and people of Kwara State under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON.
The 11th Annual Empowerment Programme is expected to promote youth development and empowerment in the Ilorin Emirate.
