Kankia Leads Grassroots Mobilisation for Tinubu, Dikko Across Katsina LGAs

The Tinubu/Dikko Grassroots Mobilisation Movement has begun efforts to strengthen its organisational presence across the 34 local government areas of Katsina State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The movement’s Director-General and National Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress, Murtala Aliyu Kankia, disclosed this at a strategic meeting with political stakeholders and party representatives in Katsina.

The meeting brought together party leaders and representatives from the state’s local government areas to discuss strategies for improving coordination, strengthening political unity and expanding grassroots engagement.

Kankia said the movement needed an effective organisational structure to coordinate its activities across the state and ensure closer collaboration between its leadership and local government representatives.

He emphasised the importance of sustained engagement with grassroots communities as the organisation prepares for the 2027 electoral cycle.

The movement’s State Chairman, Dr Kabir Abdullahi Yantumaki, urged members to work together, stressing that unity and cooperation would be critical to achieving the organisation’s objectives.

Yantumaki said improved coordination among leaders and members would help establish a sustainable mobilisation network and ensure that planned activities were effectively implemented across the state.

He also called on stakeholders to demonstrate commitment to the movement’s goals and strengthen cooperation at all levels.

Among those who attended the meeting were former commissioner and former chairman of Zango Local Government Area, Adamu Mato Zango, and the Special Adviser on Basic Education, Nura Katsayal.

The APC Director of Administration in Katsina State, alongside other party officials and representatives from the 34 local government areas, was also present.

Participants discussed organisational priorities and ways to improve communication and coordination between the movement’s state leadership and grassroots representatives.

The meeting ended with a renewed commitment to teamwork and coordinated mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The proposed expansion is expected to place local government structures at the centre of the movement’s activities as it seeks to broaden its reach across Katsina State.
