Kogi: Gunmen Abduct Chief of Staff’s Mother

Mrs. Seriya Raji, the mother of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State’s Chief of Staff, Abdulkarim Jamiu Asuku, has been kidnapped.
On Monday night, gunmen reportedly broke into her home in the state’s Adavi Local Government Area.

The gunmen whisked her away minutes after she observed her evening (Ishai) prayer in a mosque within the house at Inese/Ovakere new layout in Nagazi community, Adavi LGA, according to an eyewitness.
He further narrated that the abductors, about 6 in number, used masks to hide their identities.
He added that the armed men entered her house through the mosque and whisked her away to an unknown location.
They have not made any contact with the family since the incident and no official statement yet, as at press time.
