In a bid to promote agriculture and ensure affordability for its citizens, the Kwara State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has introduced the “Thursday Fish Market,” a weekly event that will take place every Thursday at the Ministry’s premises in Ilorin.
According to the Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mrs. Oloruntoyosi Thomas, the market provides a unique opportunity for residents to access a wide variety of fresh and processed fish at highly affordable prices.
“Fish breeders can also purchase fingerlings, juvenile catfish, fish feeds, and medications, while consultancy services will be available to assist new and experienced fish farmers,” she added.
