NAHCON Meets PTOs, Fine-Tunes Arrangements for 2025 Hajj

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON has held a crucial meeting with Private Tour Operators, PTOs at the Nigeria Hajj Affairs Office, Ummul Jud, Makkah, as part of efforts to fine-tune arrangements for the 2025 Hajj.
The meeting, which was convened to address pressing issues and consolidate gains, was chaired by NAHCON’s Chairman/CEO, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman.
In his opening remarks, Professor Usman emphasized the importance of synergy between NAHCON and Private Tour Operators in ensuring a seamless and successful Hajj operation.
He urged the Tour Operators to table all their complaints and concerns, assuring them that NAHCON is working round the clock to address all issues.

On the issue of accommodation in Muna, Professor Usman disclosed that NAHCON has booked 1000 bed spaces in Tent A, but is still awaiting confirmation from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah regarding Tent A plus.
He appealed to the Tour Operators to indicate their interest in the Tent A allocation, emphasizing the need for prompt action.
Commissioner in charge of Operations, Inspectorate, Compliance, and Licensing, Prince Anofiu Elegusi, highlighted the crucial role of Private Tour Operators in the success of the Hajj operation.
He urged them to be open in their dialogue and share ideas for a smooth operation.
During the meeting, the Tour Operators requested to meet with the service providers of Tent A to agree on common grounds, citing the need to avert a repeat of the challenges experienced in 2024.
NAHCON promised to arrange a meeting and inspection of the facilities with the service providers as soon as possible.
The issue of difficulty in payment on the e-track was also raised by the Tour Operators while NAHCON assured them that it would intervene and requested the affected operators to provide more detailed information.
In a related development, NAHCON offered special prayers for Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his 73rd birthday, wishing him many more successful years in good health.
