Nigeria Customs Service Charges Junior Course 20 to Safeguard National Borders

The Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Adewale Adeniyi, has urged the newly inaugurated students of Junior Course 20 to equip themselves with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute to the Nigeria Customs Service‘s mission of safeguarding national borders and protecting the nation’s economy.
Represented by Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs Sulaiman Bomai, Adeniyi made this call at the Ahmad Makarfi Theater of Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College in Gwagwalada on Tuesday.
DCG Bomai emphasized the importance of embracing the training as an opportunity for growth and development, generating new ideas and innovations to drive the service’s transformation.
He encouraged the students to view their facilitators as role models and aspire to become like them in the future, noting that the Nigeria Customs Service prioritizes staff development and capacity building to enhance its operational efficiency.

On his part, Assistant Comptroller-General Kingsley Egwuh, Commandant of the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College, highlighted the course as crucial for participants’ progression and aspirations in their careers.
The capacity program, according to him, prepares participants for increasing responsibilities in Command and Staff appointments, focusing on revenue generation, trade facilitation, and national security.
The Commandant cautioned students to obey the rules and regulations, as erring students would face severe sanctions.
