Nigeria Records 42 New Cases Of COVID-19

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) has reported 42 new COVID-19 cases in the country over a two-week period, with the majority coming from Lagos State.

The NCDC made this announcement via its official website, noting that Edo, Kano, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Plateau and the Federal Capital Territory also contributed to the total.

The new cases bring the total number of COVID-19 infections in the country to 266,492. The cases were recorded between December 31, 2022 and January 13.

The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) continues to encourage citizens to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
