Nigerian Military Neutralizes 200 Terrorists, Rescues 120 Hostages

The Nigerian military has recorded significant successes in their ongoing operations against terrorists and violent extremists across the country.
According to a statement by Major General Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations, troops neutralized over 200 terrorists, arrested 250 suspects, and rescued 120 kidnapped hostages in various operations between August 14 and 23, 2024.
In the North East, troops of Operation HADIN KAI neutralized 69 terrorists, arrested 98 suspects, and rescued 24 kidnapped hostages.

In the North Central, troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN neutralized 10 insurgents, arrested 79 violent extremists, and rescued 48 kidnapped hostages.
In the North West, troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI neutralized 60 terrorists, arrested 23 terrorists, and rescued 25 kidnapped hostages.
Troops of Operation WHIRL PUNCH neutralized 12 terrorists, arrested 37 suspects, and rescued 13 kidnapped hostages.
In the South South, troops of Operation DELTA SAFE destroyed several illegal refining sites, recovered stolen products, and arrested suspected violent extremists.
In the South East, troops of Operation UDO KA neutralized 12 terrorists, arrested 25 violent extremists, and rescued 8 kidnapped hostages.
The military has assured that it will continue to intensify its operations to ensure the safety and security of all Nigerians.
