BREAKING: Oba Oluwo, Wife Welcome First Child

By Alabidun Shuaib AbdulRahman

The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi and his wife, Princess Firdaus, have announced the birth of their first child.

The news was shared in a statement released by the monarch’s press secretary, Alli Ibrahim, on Wednesday.

Oba Akanbi, who was previously married to Jamaican Chanel Chin, tied the knot with Princess Firdaus in March 2022. Since then, the couple has kept a low profile, with the Queen rarely seen in public except on a few occasions when she received guests in the palace alongside her husband.

Expressing his gratitude to God for the new addition to his family, Oluwo Akanbi praised his wife for her strength and resilience during the pregnancy, saying, “Carrying a baby for months is tasking. I congratulate my queen on the arrival of a new child. She deserves accolades.”

The monarch also expressed his confidence in the child’s future, saying, “I have strong trust in whatever comes out of her womb. The child shall be greater and be prosperous than me.”

The statement concluded with the Oluwo of Iwo congratulating his “beautiful, elegant, respectful, and loving queen” on the birth of their child.
