BREAKING: Francis Scott Key Bridge Collapses in Baltimore, US

The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland, has collapsed into the Patapsco River after being struck by a container ship, INCNews247 can report.
The Baltimore City Fire Department, currently on the scene, has reported that seven individuals and multiple vehicles have plunged into the river as a result of the collapse.
The incident, which occurred around 01:30 ET (05:30 GMT), is said to have been triggered by a large vessel colliding with a column of the bridge, causing it to crumble and descend into the water.

Disturbing videos circulating on social media depict the entire span of the bridge disappearing beneath the surface of the river.
Although at the press time, there have been no reported casualties thus far.
INCNews247 learnt a large-scale rescue and recovery operation involving multiple agencies is currently underway to locate and assist those impacted by the collapse.
The Francis Scott Key Bridge, a critical part of the I-95 interstate highway, stretches over 3 kilometers (1.6 miles) and serves as a vital link between Miami, Florida, and Maine on the US east coast.
Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski Jr. has assured the public that rescue efforts are in progress, urging prayers for those affected by the incident.
Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott has also acknowledged the situation, emphasizing the swift response of emergency personnel and the ongoing efforts to address the crisis.
Authorities are actively assessing the situation, with concerns raised about the possibility of workers being in the water following the collapse.
While the exact extent of the damage and the number of individuals affected is still being determined, emergency responders are working tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of all involved.
